A deep red ground plays host to an intricate Persian-inspired center medallion.
Ornate floral motifs and acanthus leaves create a stunning look.
The shimmering appearance of silk is due to the triangular prism-like structure of the silk fiber which allows silk textiles to refract incoming light at different angles, producing different colors.

The style and design of Nain rugs is heavily influenced by the Isfahan weavers, but once the local tribes within Nain started weaving their own rugs, they incorporated their own personal style into their work, giving it a few distinct features that make these rugs instantly identifiable.
Nain rugs possess an effortless sophistication because they are made with muted colors—every shade of blue along with beige, gray, and brown on ivory or cream backgrounds. Burgundy and green are used occasionally.

It is often said in Kashmir folklore that a home is incomplete without a soul—a Kashmir rug.
Kashmir rugs are renowned for having bright jewel-like color tones such as ruby red, emerald green, aquamarine, amethyst, ivory, and, in this piece, light sapphire blue.
This piece is woven of 100% silk. The silk creates an iridescent effect, a play of color, caused by differential refraction of light waves that tends to change as the angle of view changes.

This Persian rug was woven in Tabriz, an ancient city located in north western Iran, that has been at the center of the rug making world for hundreds of years.
One of the more remarkable features of this Tabriz rug is the use of a sophisticated palette of copper tones, ivory, burgundy and terracotta, with varying shades of baby blue and navy blue and subtle touches of gold, green, tan, and salmon.
The center medallion captures the eyes. The baby blue surrounding the innermost floral cluster creates a halo effect against the burgundy.

The ethos of Kashmir culture is often represented in the motifs of a Kashmir rug.
Elaborate and finely-detailed curvilinear floral patterns with forked leaves create an ornate look.
The muted and muddy colors of this piece soften the visual impact of the ornate floral patterns and create a quiet elegance.
